Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar) has been offering two types of training courses since the university establishment of 1999. In general, the courses required by the respective ranks from every ministry are considered as regular courses; separate course for civil service under any relevant ministry are considered special courses.
(A) Special courses
Basic education teachers under the Ministry of Education were trained 66 times from 1999 to 2016; in 1999, primary school teachers in the border area were trained once. From 2004 to 2016, 21 special courses were opened for university / college teachers. Similarly, one special training course for customs officers was conducted in 2006, one special training course for Myanmar police officers in 2007, 15 training course for women sector development from 2003 to 2007, and one general administration training course in 2007 were opened, and no such training has been held since 2016.
(B) Regular Courses
“Management Course for Mid-Level Officer Training Course” for middle level officers was only available from 2009 to 2017. This types of training course has been upgraded as Advanced Diploma Course with the name of “Management Course for Mid-Level Officer, Advanced Diploma in Civil Service Management” since 2017. Similarly “Basic Pre-Service Course for Civil Service Officer” for Gazette Entry Level Officer was only opened from 2006 to 2017. This training course has also upgraded as Diploma Course with the name of “Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Service Management Course” since 2016.
